The CSIR NET (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test) is a national-level examination conducted in India to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professorship in various science and technology fields subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC. There are five papers in CSIR NET Exam – Mathematical Science, Life Science, Chemical Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), with the task of conducting the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
