Bounce Rate: The Lower the Better? Not Always

Interpreting bounce rate can be tricky. While a low bounce rate might initially seem ideal, an unusually low rate (like 2%) could signal issues with your Google Analytics setup. For multi-page websites, users should naturally navigate through at least a couple of pages. Use tools like Google Tag Assistant to check for duplicate pageviews or events triggered on page load. If your analytics configuration is correct but bounce rate remains extremely low, examine your CMS plugins and overall user experience. Users may drop off due to confusing site layout, indicating larger issues. Thus, a super low bounce rate might not be as favorable as it appears.
